Since its establishment in 1994, NAKHIA IMPEX LLC has been one of the leading companies in pharmaceutical manufacturing and trade in Mongolia, consistently providing our customers with high-quality, safe, efficacious, and affordable essential medicines that fully comply with international pharmaceutical manufacturing standards. From the very beginning, we have continuously elevated our service culture, improved our manufacturing conditions, enhanced the knowledge, education, and professional competencies of our workforce, maintained the highest standards of product quality, and expanded our product range.

About Our Company
Established in 1994, NAKHIA IMPEX LLC is one of the pioneering companies in Mongolia's pharmaceutical manufacturing and trade sector, operating continuously for over three decades.
The company is structured into the following departments, with a workforce of more than 120 employees:
- Research & Development Department
- Quality Control Department
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Department
- Finance Department
- Sales & Marketing Department
Since its establishment, the company has manufactured more than 70 types of products, including tablets, capsules, galenicals, single-use medical devices, ampoule injectable solutions, and powder for injectable solutions. Of these, 59 types of medicines and pharmaceutical products have been registered in the National Medicines Registry of Mongolia, of which 37 types are in regular production.
The company continuously expands its manufacturing operations, currently producing 16 types of injectable solutions and 4 types of powder for injectable solutions (vial antibiotic facility) in a newly constructed GMP-compliant facility, managed by a specialized team, with full quality analysis conducted prior to market supply.
In addition, the company imports medicines and medical devices from pharmaceutical manufacturers in Russia, China, India, Germany, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, and Vietnam, in accordance with domestic market demand.
Research & Development Department
Our department was established and has been in operation since 2010.
Key strengths of the Research & Development Department:
- Product quality is assured using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) instruments from Shimadzu (Japan) and other analytical equipment.
- The first manufacturer of injectable antibiotics in Mongolia.
- Manufacturing is conducted through a fully automated antibiotic filling line, authorized and approved in accordance with international standards.
- All pharmaceutical raw materials are sourced exclusively from manufacturers compliant with WHO GMP requirements.
- The department is staffed by highly qualified specialists with more than 15 years of professional experience in their respective fields.
The manufacturing environment fully meets applicable regulatory and quality standards.
Quality Control Department
The Quality Control Department has been in operation since 1994.
The NAKHIA pharmaceutical analysis laboratory operates within its own laboratory facility in full compliance with international GMP standards.
The department is staffed by highly qualified and experienced personnel with more than 5 years of specialized professional experience.
In 2025, the laboratory was accredited for 7 types of pharmaceutical dosage forms under the MNS ISO/IEC 17025 standard for a period of 4 years. This accreditation represents a critical milestone in ensuring that the quality of all dosage forms analyzed in our laboratory is evaluated and verified against international standards.
The laboratory analyzes:
- 64 types of raw materials
- 48 types of pharmaceutical finished products in full accordance with international pharmacopoeia.
Utilizing High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) instruments from:
- Shimadzu (Japan)
- WATERS (USA)
Thereby producing test results that are consistent with and comparable to those of laboratories worldwide.
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant of NAKHIA IMPEX LLC is one of the first privately owned pharmaceutical manufacturers in Mongolia, having commenced operations with traditional medicine, galenic, and powder medicine workshops.
- Traditional medicine, galenic and powder medicine workshop
- 1995 — Tablet medicine workshop established
- 1998 — Ampoule injectable medicine workshop established
- 2006 — Powder for injectable solution (antibiotic) workshop and ampoule injectable medicine workshop established
- 2014 — Tablet medicine and powder medicine workshops renovated
- 2017 — Ampoule injectable medicine workshop renovated and a new workshop commissioned, expanding production capacity
- 2020 — Single-use medical devices workshop established
- 2022 — Powder for injectable solution / vial injectable powder medicine (antibiotic) manufacturing facility newly commissioned
The Nakhia Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant operates in full compliance with international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, supported by a skilled and experienced workforce with extensive expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing, advanced technologies conforming to international standards, and a sustained commitment to continuous improvement and modernization.
Pharmaceutical Distribution Center
NAKHIA IMPEX LLC operates three branch pharmaceutical distribution centers across the country. The NAKHIA distribution centers strictly adhere to Good Storage and Distribution Practices in accordance with MNS 5530:2014 "General Requirements for the Storage and Distribution of Medicines and Medical Devices," ensuring the continuous supply of high-efficacy, safe, quality-assured medicines and medical devices registered in the National Medicines Registry of Mongolia to hospitals, healthcare institutions, and pharmacies.
Warehouse: The licensed warehouse facilities of the NAKHIA distribution centers fully comply with the requirements of MNS 5530:2014. The facilities are equipped with specialized storage equipment to maintain product quality in accordance with manufacturer-specified storage conditions, for both products supplied by partner organizations and those imported by the company, until final distribution.
Storage: The three branch distribution centers of NAKHIA IMPEX LLC operate in full compliance with the requirements of MNS 5530:2014, ensuring the supply of high-efficacy, safe, and quality-assured medicines and medical devices to the public and partner organizations.
We maintain stable partnerships with more than 1,500 regular customers for the supply of medicines and medical devices, including approximately 310 state hospitals (the State Central Hospital, district hospitals, regional diagnostic and treatment centers, soum and inter-soum hospitals), approximately 290 pharmaceutical distribution centers, and approximately 1,000 pharmacies, private hospitals, and healthcare institutions.
Pharmacies
NAKHIA IMPEX LLC operates 8 branch pharmacies. The NAKHIA pharmacy branches procure medicines and medical devices registered in the National Medicines Registry of Mongolia, sourced both from the company's own distribution centers and from other pharmaceutical distribution organizations, in accordance with the needs of the local population in each respective region.
Through our pharmacy network, we continuously and uninterruptedly provide the public with medicines covered under the Health Insurance Fund's price-subsidized reimbursement scheme, as well as professional pharmaceutical care and services. In addition, we regularly disseminate information on the rational use of medicines to physicians, healthcare professionals, and the general public through various channels.
